先日、トンキニーズとシャムの違いについて書きましたが、
ディズニーアニメの「わんわん物語」に出てくるシャム猫を知っていますか？
地味に人気があるのではないでしょうか。

この子たち、ちゃんと「サイ」と「アム」という素敵な名前があります。
コッカースパニエルのレディとシュナウザーのトランプが活躍する「わんわん物語」。
その前半に登場し、それまで不自由なく暮らしていたレディの運命を変える猫たちです。
セーラおばさんとともに、レディのおうちにやってきて、
金魚鉢をひっくり返したり、部屋をめちゃくちゃにします。
それを目撃したレディは怒って吠えながら追いかけるのですが、結局捕まらず…。
セーラおばさんが来たら、シャム猫たちは
いかにもレディが全て悪いように、か弱く演技するのです。
ずる賢く意地悪な性格ですが、セーラおばさんのことは大好きなんですよね。
そのせいでレディは危険な犬だと口輪をはめられてしまいます…。
現実のシャム猫たちは、サイとアムとは違いとってもおしゃべり上手で優しい猫さんです。
